Animal Assisted Activities (AAA)

Our Sheep Farming Development Program (SFDP) aim to provide opportunities for young people to engage with animals and discover new passions in a fun environment.

Through Sheep Farming Experience, young people will learn social skills as:

•  Communicate verbally and non-verbally

• Learn to care for others, like animals

• Work as a team

• Discover passion & jobs related to farming

• Gain confidence in learning new skills

 

 

After a full program of 7 sessions, a certificate of “Sheep Farming Development Program” will be awarded to the participants.

*Session can be booked one at a time.

 

            The subjects vary with the time of year and tasks. All these tasks include working as team to care for sheep and can include experiences like:  Feeding, lambing, dosing, vaccination, drenching, shearing, scanning, weighing, drafting and many more.
