How we work
Children and teenagers taking part of the AAA are being referred to us (see Referral Procedure). We work together with the individual to find what suits best their needs and interests.
We aim to get children or young people coming in a regular basis to allow them to build partnerships and skills.
A child comes accompanied by his mentor/befriender/carer. We take up to 3 children at a time (depending the activity and the individuals).
We only take individual or small groups, so we are able to involve the children in a practical task as much as possible and are able to look after their needs.
After the initial chat, we plan future sessions based upon the children's interests and experiences. As the visits go on, we create a plan to develop companionship, skills and passion.
We really believe these activities can make a difference and we would like to guide teenagers beyond our farm and what we can offer by helping with finding appropriate extra training, education choice and job seeking.
We work really to submit application for funding, unfortunately we do not always offer free activities. Please get in touch if you would us to apply for funding for a particular child or project and we will try our best to help.
