Farmigos CIC is a small social enterprise in Quothquan, in South Lanarkshire. Our aim is to provide opportunities for vulnerable children and teenagers to work with and care for pets and farm animals.
We offer three main Animal Assisted Activities (AAA): Dog Care with our working collies, Sheep Farming involving livestock and sheepdogs and the Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) with the ponies.
We understand that life can be tough, especially for vulnerable children and teenagers. At Farmigos, we provide a safe space where young people can find comfort, companionship and a sense of belonging and purpose through interacting with animals and working with other as a team.
Farmigos' purpose is to help young people reach their full potential by giving them opportunities to discover a happier and more confident self. We want to offer them a chance to find a passion and offer them guidance to take it further.

🐑🐑 Lambing Experience 2026 🐑🐑👩🌾👨🌾🧑🌾
Our 2026 Lambing Experience was a wonderful success, welcoming 35 young people and 21 adults to the farm to experience the joy of lambing season and learn more about farming, animal care, and the countryside.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy meaningful experiences on the farm, regardless of their financial circumstances. To help make this possible, a quarter of the children attended free of charge, ensuring that cost was not a barrier for families wishing to take part.
2026 Lambing Experience – A Season to Remember!
We are also grateful for the support provided through the Holiday Playschemes & Activities for Disabled Children funding. This enabled us to deliver four half-day lambing sessions for families, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where children could enjoy hands-on learning, meet our sheep and newborn lambs, and build confidence through positive outdoor experiences.
This project was also made possible thanks to the generous support of the Screwfix Foundation, whose funding enabled us to repair and improve one of our outbuildings. These improvements created a safe, warm, and accessible space, allowing us to offer the Lambing Experience during the winter months and ensuring visitors could enjoy the activity comfortably, whatever the weather.
Throughout the season, we received fantastic feedback from families, who told us how much they valued the opportunity to spend time on the farm, interact with the animals, and make lasting memories together. It was especially rewarding to see children develop new skills, ask thoughtful questions, and gain a greater appreciation for farming and animal welfare.
We would like to thank everyone who joined us, along with the Screwfix Foundation and the Holiday Playschemes & Activities for Disabled Children fund, for helping to make the 2026 Lambing Experience such a memorable and rewarding success. Their support has helped us make our farm more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for local families.
We look forward to welcoming even more families to the farm for our 2027 Lambing Experience.
